سوق العلاوي

 

هو من أشهر أسواق كربلاء وأكبرها، ويتفرع إلى فروع مختلفة. وللسوق عدة مداخل، منها: مدخل من شارع العباس (عليه السلام)، ومدخل من شارع الإمام علي (عليه السلام)، ومدخل من ساحة الميدان.

تختص الحوانيت ببيع الحبوب والعطاريات والبهارات والتوابل، وكذلك الأعشاب الطبية. بعد ذلك، تختص الحوانيت ببيع أدوات المطبخ المنزلية المحلية والمستوردة، وكذلك أنواع الهدايا الزجاجية واللوحات ومحلات الزهور.

ثم تأتي محلات بيع الملابس، ومنها المختصة ببيع الزي الرجالي الشعبي بكافة أنواعه، ثم محلات بيع العباءة النسائية.

في منتصف السوق، يفترش الباعة أماكن لبيع أنواع مختلفة من الأدوات واللوازم الشخصية. ويتفرع من السوق أسواق أخرى، منها أسواق لبيع الأجهزة الكهربائية، وأسواق لبيع أجهزة الاتصال، وأهم فروعه سوق المهدي الذي اختصت حوانيته ببيع وتصليح الأجهزة الإلكترونية وأجهزة الاتصال النقال. وفي وسط السوق يقع جامع.

It is one of the most famous and largest markets in Karbala, branching out into various sections. The market has multiple entrances, including one from Al-Abbas Street (peace be upon him), another from Imam Ali Street (peace be upon him), and an entrance from Al-Midan Square.

The shops specialize in selling grains, spices, herbs, and medical plants. Next, there are shops dedicated to household kitchenware, both local and imported, as well as glass gifts, paintings, and flower shops.

Then come the clothing shops, including those specializing in traditional men’s attire, followed by stores selling women’s abayas.

In the middle of the market, vendors set up areas to sell various personal tools and supplies. The market also branches into other sections, including those selling electrical appliances and communication devices. Among its important branches is Al-Mahdi Market, where shops specialize in selling and repairing electronic and mobile communication devices. There is also a mosque in the center of the market.
